The Facts About In-Person Events

The 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns may have caused our events to become virtual; however, in-person events are making a comeback in 2023! As previously mentioned, in-person events will always have a leg above their virtual counterparts. Although you may reach more of an audience virtually, a virtual experience can never surpass the excitement of being in person.

  • Networking – In-person communication creates deeper connections. When a webinar is over, we often have a quick Q&A before we all click the “leave” button and close the door on the event. When in person, the connections continue, and the listening and learning opportunities only increase.

  • Experience – One of the biggest challenges with virtual events is appealing to people’s sensory experiences. At in-person events, a more substantial connection can be made through the experience itself. SEEING items and people first hand instead of on a screen. SMELLING the freshly popped kettle corn served in the booth next to yours. TOUCHING new products on the market and feeling a company’s velvety business card. HEARING both the key speaker and the additional side conversations allows more insightful perspectives. Physically TASTING the latest and greatest health beverage on the market, instead of simply reading a taste description..

  • Leads – Being in person and building connections with potential clients or business partners will only boost the experience individuals have with your brand!
