It is no secret that high schoolers will receive mass amounts of mail from different colleges up until their graduating date. We teamed up with our subsidiary, Spawn Ideas to create a few unique mail campaigns that would be sure to stand out above other mail campaigns. We enjoyed brainstorming with our Spawn team to get these unique mailings out the door!

The Facts About Direct Mailers

According to a recent Smallbizgenius article, 58% of the mail Americans receive will be a marketing mail piece. On average, that is roughly 454 pieces of marketing mail per year! I am sure we can all agree we enjoy receiving any kind of mail that is not a bill, but how many of us have a junk mail pile we don’t even look at? Or how many of us quickly throw mail away that appears to be junk mail?

When creating direct mailers, achieving a high response rate is typically the main focus. So how do we increase our response rate and avoid being junk mail? At Bore Tide One Source, we heavily focus on our direct mailers being unique and memorable. Receiving a marketing mail piece that looks and feels like every other junk mail piece you receive is more likely to be tossed and forgotten, rather than something visually or texturally different.

When creating a direct mailer:

  1. Don’t lose sight of your target audience
  2. Know the main goal of the campaign
  3. Make it stand out and above the everyday mail your audience will receive
